What Is PDF Crop?

PDF Crop lets you trim the margins of every page in a PDF by adjusting the media box boundaries. This is useful for removing excessive whitespace, trimming scanned borders, or resizing page content — all without uploading your file anywhere.

How to Use

  1. Upload a PDF by clicking the drop zone or dragging a file onto it.
  2. Enter the crop amount (in points) for each side: top, bottom, left, right.
  3. Click "Crop & Download" to apply the crop to all pages.
  4. The cropped PDF will download automatically.

Features

  • Crop all pages uniformly with top/bottom/left/right controls
  • Values in PDF points (1 pt = 1/72 inch)
  • Applies to every page in the document
  • 100% client-side — your PDF never leaves your device
  • Works with any PDF regardless of page size

FAQ

What unit are the crop values in?

Values are in PDF points. 1 point = 1/72 inch. So 72 pt ≈ 1 inch, and 28 pt ≈ 1 cm.

Does cropping remove content permanently?

Cropping adjusts the visible area (media box) but does not delete the underlying content. The original data is still in the file.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. All processing is done entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Your file never leaves your device.
