What Is an Image Tint?
An image tint overlays a semi-transparent color on a photo, shifting its overall hue. It is widely used in graphic design, social media, and branding to apply a consistent color theme. This tool supports three blend modes — Normal (flat overlay), Multiply (darkens while tinting), and Screen (lightens while tinting). Adjust the color and opacity with live before/after preview. All processing is done locally in your browser.

FAQ
What is the difference between the blend modes?
Normal adds the tint color as a flat semi-transparent overlay. Multiply multiplies the pixel values, making the result darker while infusing the tint color — good for dark tones. Screen inverts, multiplies, then inverts back, producing a lighter brightened tint — good for light or glowing effects.
What opacity should I use?
For a subtle color cast, try 10–25%. For a strong branded look, 40–60%. Above 80% the original photo may be hard to distinguish. The right value depends on the image and the blend mode.
Does the tint affect transparent PNGs?
For Normal mode the tint is drawn over all pixels including transparent areas, which will become semi-transparent tinted. For Multiply/Screen modes only the RGB channels are affected; the alpha channel is preserved, keeping transparency intact.
