FAQ
How is the sepia tone calculated?
Each pixel is first converted to a luminance value, then mapped to a warm reddish-brown sepia palette using the standard matrix: R=0.393r+0.769g+0.189b, G=0.349r+0.686g+0.168b, B=0.272r+0.534g+0.131b. The intensity slider blends between the original and the full sepia result.
What's the difference between sepia and grayscale?
Grayscale removes all color information, producing a neutral grey image. Sepia also removes color information but adds a warm brownish-orange tone, giving it the characteristic vintage look.
Will the download be in the same format?
Yes. The output preserves the original format (JPEG, PNG, or WebP). PNG output is lossless; JPEG and WebP are re-encoded at 92% quality.
