Frequently Asked Questions

Which sizes should I export?

The most commonly needed sizes are 16×16 (browser tab), 32×32 (taskbar), and 48×48 (bookmarks). Modern browsers also use 192×192 for mobile home screen icons. Export 32px and 48px as a minimum.

Can I use an emoji as a favicon?

Yes. Simply paste an emoji into the text field (e.g. 🚀) and the generator will render it as your favicon. Emoji favicons have become a popular minimalist design choice.

Are ICO files supported?

Modern browsers support PNG favicons directly. Export a 32×32 or 48×48 PNG and reference it in your HTML with <link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="/favicon.png">. Most use cases no longer require the legacy .ico format.

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using the HTML Canvas API. Your images are never sent to any server.
